Laura practices in the areas of real estate and title law, contract litigation related to real estate transactions, real property disputes, mechanic’s lien enforcement, and contract disputes involving contractors and subcontractors. Her office also handles delinquent accounts for condominiums, and homeowner’s associations and is licensed with the State of Maryland as a debt collection office.
Laura has been licensed as a real estate broker and title insurance producer, which has afforded her the opportunity and experience to represent both buyers and sellers in failed real estate transactions. A limited amount of the practice also focuses on certain aspects of healthcare receivables law and consumer protection matters, such as The Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act. Laura is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and Board Member of Civil Justice, Inc., and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Laura is a triple graduate from the University of Baltimore where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration; Masters Degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Health Care Law; and a J.D. from the School of Law, graduating summa cum laude. Prior to entering law school Laura was the Director of Operations for a health care receivables company holding an industry certification of Certified Patient Account Manager. She later transitioned to the Director of Human Resources.
Laura is an active community member and recently held the positions of Vice President for the Riverside Neighborhood Association, Inc., and Board Member and Secretary for the Federal Hill Business Association.
